2016 Travels

Well here it is 2016. I haven't posted since 2014 so I thought I would do some to show you what Ray and I have been up to. We travelled around NSW last year. Lake Conjola, then Sussex Inlet. Up to Forbes for a 70th birthday then out to Trundle for the Bush Tucker weekend in September. Then up to Lennox Head via the New England. Ray did a lot of work around the house. Built a deck out the back. Planted 3 vegetable gardens and started some much needed maintenance around the house.

Now it is 2016 and it all starts again.
In February we went back down to Lake Conjola for three weeks. We met up with Gary and Cheryl, Charlie and Fay, and Jeannie all from Berry. And Chris and Ruby from Shellharbour, And Graeme and Janet, Eric and Di, Margaret and Ian and Gary and Janelle all from Forbes. Also Nancy and Steve joined us for a week. I used to work with Nancy way back in the Boral days. She is very elusive and I have no photos.
I have put in some photos of the mischief we got up to. we felt like teenagers again. Drinking, fishing, eating, games. All fun and laughter. They say laughter is good for the soul so we must have very happy souls.
First up we had a group dinner. Coincidentally it fell on Valentines Day so what better theme for our dinner than LOVE. Everyone contributed and we had a great feast.

This was our party table. Individual place mats, heart shaped chocolates , red candles and decorations, hearts on sticks around the outside, fairy lights everywhere.

We went on a picnic one day over to the northern side of Lake Conjola in a sheltered bay. We all left together in the boats

Here is Janet with some of the boats behind her. We were just getting ready to go. We had 6 boats in all. just like a little flotilla
Ray the captain at the helm. It only took about 10minutes to get across to the picnic spot.
Here are the boats all ready to leave

The spot we picked was great fro fishing, swimming and generally just lazing around. This is Eric and Di and Ray just relaxing in the water
Gary caught a little fish

Some random photos of us all mucking around
This is happy hour. It was a bit cold so we are all rugged up, except Ray of course
Happy Valentines Day, Maura
