Brunswick Heads to Camerons Corner to Home. August and September 2013

Home to Lennox Head
31st July, 1st August, 2nd August
Well we got away from home about 9.30am the second time. We had to double back as Ray had forgotten his sunglasses. It was a fairly uneventful trip. The usual traffic snarls on Pennant Hills Road, fighting the cars for a lane, cars diving in front of you because they don't want to be stuck behind a caravan. We got to our free camp at Bulahdelah to find that the flood had been through and it was very boggy. So on to Plan B. We drove on about 40km to a stop beside the highway. We didn't get much sleep though as the trucks were quite close and a bit noisy. So further north we headed and stopped at Paddy's Rest area north of Taree for lunch. We were joined by 4 very healthy free range chooks. The things we see on the road.
We arrived at Urunga just before lunch and it was lovely. We had a site right beside the river. We went up to the local pub for tea and ate too much.

Got away about 9.30am on Friday and got to Lennox Head about 2.30pm.

The  weather is beautiful, sun is shining, Lake Ainsworth is sparkling. Lee came and had a few drinks with us after work and then came back with her dog Suzy for breakfast this morning. It is another magnificent day. The longboard championships are on so there are a few old, grey haired surfers in the park ready for the competition. Anyway that is enough so far.More Blog when we get to Brunswick Heads.
